Preparing for Painting Day

Important to know prior to our arrival!!!

Clear Out the painting areas. If walls only are to be painted, we need a 4’ clearance from all wall surfaces in rooms with lower than 9’ ceilings (furniture, breakables, TV’s, etc). Any wall over 9 feet but less than 15 feet in height must be clear for 5 feet. Any wall over 15 feet must be clear for 9 feet. If a ceiling is to be painted, the entire room must be clear of any items. Also, we ask that you remove any window treatments and wall plates prior to our arrival as well, as we will not be removing these items. If they are not removed, we will paint around them.

To Minimize Any Problems that can occur, we also ask you to remove breakable items from the walkway to and from the work areas. This will reduce the risk of anything becoming damaged from the heavy and large items we will be carrying into the work area(s).

If you require more assistance with moving furniture, we are happy to offer our Red Feather service. Whatever furniture of items you can not move, we will be happy to move for you. We do charge a $45/hr. charge, and there is a half hour minimum for moving and then replacing. If you do not have the time or the strength to move your items, let our big strong crew move it for you. By having us move your items however, you are releasing our team from any damage that might be caused from moving them. We can not be responsible for items that are delicate, or require special handling. This is just because, if you will remember, we are painters, not movers.

Items we can NOT move: pianos, TVs, A/V equipment, grandfather clocks, and mirrors. We had a bad experience with each of these in the past. We don't want to duplicate our past.
